68th Annual L.A. Area Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Children/Youth Programming

I am pleased to announce that the program “Music Matters: L.A. Kids and their Music” featuring dozens of LAUSD elementary students, has won the 68th Annual L.A. Area Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Children/Youth Programming.

The show features the All Schools Elementary Honor Orchestra’s concert in Schoenberg Hall at UCLA along with fascinating close-up looks of several students and their parents. The program highlights the importance of music in a well-rounded education and emphasizes the vital role music education plays in our public schools.

The Emmy was presented on Saturday, July 23, 2016 in the new Wolf Theatre at the Television Academy in North Hollywood, California.

You can access photos and video of both the show, Music Matters, and the awards presentation at http://www.childrensmusicworkshop.com/emmy/

Thanks very much!

Best,

Larry Newman
